Welcome to the Servants of the Shrub!

SOS Invited to attend SWTOR GUILD SUMMIT!!!

Congratulations Shrubbites!

The Guild has received an invitation to participate in the Guild Summit announced by Bioware coming up in March!  Topics for discussion and presentation are being formulated in the following thread:  http://oftheshrub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1200&start=0

This is a very prestigious achievement for our small community, and it is a testament to the hard work and dedication the High Council (and many others) have put into achieving guild recognition.  As an example, there were 79,085 guilds registered at launch according to Massively: http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/12/22/the-guild-counsel-guild-life-in-swtor/

That is the amount of people who can fit in Texas Statium...  The Shrub smiles upon us, brothers and sisters.

Republic Faction has a new Council!

The Republic Faction's votes have been counted, and there is now a Council available to answer questions and administer that Faction's side of the Shrub.

Congrats to Strife (Guts), Reddkatz (Tisara) and Bluejay (Jei) on their election.

There will be plenty of other opportunities for any Shrubbite who would lead fellow members in the name of the Holy Floating Shrub!  Start now!  Organize Flashpoints/Operations!  Start premade PvP teams!  Take up the initiative and show your fellow guildmates the Shrub resides within you!

SWTOR Devs Announce Guild Summit this March 4-6 in Austin, TX

A very interesting community friendly move on the part of the SWTOR Development Team, there has been announced a "Guild Summit" coming in March.  It seems there have been guilds invited already, but there is a guild "application" to attend available through the main site.  Because anyone attending this event would represent the Servants of the Shrub as a whole, and not individual factions (of course we don't know how many guild leaders could attend as a group), I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention, and for the Guild High Council to discuss whether to apply and whom to send.  Applications are open through February 10th, so it needs to be discussed soon.

"In case you’ve been hiding under a sand crawler all day and missed it, BioWare made quite an announcement today – the first ever Star Wars: The Old Republic Guild Summit!

In what promises to be the event of the season – catering specifically to the needs of the guild leadership community – BioWare is opening up their Austin studio to allow guild leaders from across the globe to come together to give their input and feedback about the past, present and future of Star Wars: The Old Republic!

TL;DR: First thing’s first. If you’re the leader of a guild in Star Wars: The Old Republic – no matter the size, shape or style – BioWare wants you in Austin! Obviously there’s a finite amount of space available, so be sure to head over to fill out the application ASAP!"
